Well the my new LC9 guiderods are due to be spun out and ready end of next week. I'm getting ready to contact the spring maker I use and I want to get a opinion. We are a customer driven business in that we follow the input to fine tune our products and LC9 parts are getting a lot of interest. Hammer springs trigger springs aside thats all being worked on, my question is this what weight would you like to see for the recoil springs. The factory weight is 13 or 14 ish depending on how they calculate it. So I'm thinking 10 or 11, 16 or 18 as options. Which had you all like to see? A higher offering and a lower offering. I'll be offering the rod by itself for 18.00 for introduction sale and then 20.00 regular, the springs will run 10-12.50 a set from what the maker is telling me.

I have found that I have had success with a heavier spring on all of the guns I have changed them. Nothing specific.....

16 lb would be my vote.

Lateck,

I've heard stock is 13 but don't quote me. If it is 13, i'd say yeah 15-16ish. i, like Lateck, prefer a stiffer than stock spring with a bit hotter round.
