Anyone have one/seen one before?

Came across one while visiting a few gun shops in the area. Never saw one before.

Can't find it the RENE either.

Stainless with rings, zytel stock with advantage camoflage finish and no sights. Has camo inserts also, definitely factory stock.

.270 786-XXXXX do not remember the SN.

This is the only thing I've ever had on these...from the "prototype and pre-production" column of the M77 Mark II section in the reference:

"Advantage" camo and Snow camo stocked Model 77 Mark II rifles. Two prototypes were shown at the 1997 S.H.O.T. show. These include a KM77RPS MKII with snow camo stock s/n 784-20977 and an M77RPS MKII with "Advantage" camo stock s/n 784-59990. Regular production guns of these two models were never produced.

Guess if you've got an actual production gun, some distributor must have received a handful of them afterall. If you are ever able to verify the full sn, I could sure use it to update the reference.

Yes, I checked it out, got the SN and called Ruger. The SN checked out as being a M77RBA, sold as a barreled action.

I can only speculate that a Zytel stock was sent out for an Advantage camo job. Don't know if Ruger ever offered them for sale.

It was a very, very nice job, and replica.

Maybe next time.
