Do you all think a Ruger carbine like Browning's Buckmark carbine would sale? Use the MK III frame and extended upper and make a detachable rifle stock off the back so it can be taken apart for cleaning and such. Just a thought that ran through my head and was wondering if any one else would like to see it.

I've thouhgt about that too. Not just on the MIII but on the earlier designs. Seems like it would have been the next logical step back in the 60's with popularity of the pistol a carbine would have sold great. I would buy one if it came out. I like the idea of using the same magazines for two different platforms.

I'm not sure how successful the Browning carbine is. I have a buckmark contour and while I like the design, I really don't like the looks of the carbine.

On the same token, I like the Mark II and III and the 10/22 but joining them together would end up terrible, in my opinion...

There was a thread some time ago about turning the MkIII into a carbine that resembled a submachine gun. Seems someone is already making something like that. I like the idea, but I don't know if Ruger marketing wants to compet with itself.

I have a gunsmith putting a 10/22 barrel into a Mark II reciever. It will be a second reciever for my 6 7/8 target model. I am working on an aluminium shoulder stock.
