I own quite a few super blackhawks and you don't really realize how nice a long erh is till you use one. I have a older new model I bought thinking it was a 4 5/8" gun because the barrel ended with the erh. It had been cut off and after measuring the barrel and finding out it was 5 1/2" and doing some checking this gun started out as a shillouette or heavy barreled gun and was cut back to 5 1/2. When I went out and shot it it will push 44 mag hulls completely clear of the cylinder with the long rod. This really improves unloading of cases. Not that I dislike my others but the cases being completely cleared is a big improvement in my opinion.

Oh I agree. My 1st NM SBH was a 5 1/2" because I like the standard grip and fluted cylinder but it wasn't made in 4 5/8". So I drilled and tapped a new hole and installed the long ERH. It not only worked much better but it sure looked good even with the muzzle! It was the same proportion as my Super single six with 4 5/8" barrel.
