Indy 500

and of course no spectators could attend?

What I don't understand is two big chain movie theaters are starting to reopen and two in our area are open.
However no fans will be allowed at the Richmond Nascar race coming up in couple weeks. Now would you want to be inside an enclosed movie theater with others
or outside in free moving wide open air with room to space out watching a race? At least they could open it up to the locals to attend.

I don't get it!

Come on guys ..... cars were meant to race in a straight line!

If I wanna see cars go in a circle I'll hang out in front of McDonalds!

tv race coverage use to be from fixed positions on the track.
kind of a traditional layout.
then came the blimp.
then on board cameras.
then pit shots.
it was all fun.

then came all cars looking the same with no name drivers and that was it.

commentators use to be talented.
now they talk about their dogs and tweets their kids got during a race.

Indy 500???
Is that the one with cars???
Not this one it was a contest of waving yellow flags. Good thing the stands were empty the booing fans would have drown out the cars.

I can remember being in the garage working on my 1/4 midget listening to Indy on the radio with my dad. I was 6 or 7.

I cancelled cable so I couldn't watch. Seems I didn't miss much. I heard it finished under yellow so no one could race the last 4 laps anyway. They I heard some jap guy I never heard of won in a Honda! Remember when I cheered for Al or Bobby Unser every year and they drove things like Chevy's Ford's and Pontiacs! Guess there is not much American about the Indy 500 anymore. Sad.

Under caution to green flag does nothing for real race fans. Was mostly follow the leader, nothing to get excited about. Then we had double header at Dover ,NASCAR, all races were awful Get the lead ,stay minutes ahead of 2nd.at that's it. No racing, as even those behind were minutes, not seconds behind each other. Very disappointing. Dover needs to go.It is always like this.

I didn't watch but heard some commentators say the viewership was in the toilet.

Spec car racing. All with the same chassis and rules so all have the same horsepower. I'm really surprised Penske didn't win. It would hve been his 20th and first after he bought the series and track.
