I know this should probably be in the classifieds section, but I thought the folks here might "know someone" or "know someone who knows someone"...

Back when Ruger and the Dallas Arms Collectors did the .275 Rigby No. 1 RSI, I guess there was some ammo that was offered for sale at the same time.

I would like to get my grubby little paws on one of these boxes of ammo. If anyone knows of a box, can you please put me intouch with the seller (or potential seller.. He may not know he is willing to sell it, yet..lol..)

I stole this picture from an add on GB that shows what this ammo looked like (the seller didn't respond to my offer to buy the ammo :( .. and I really don't really want to buy the whole gun/ammo package just for the ammo..

Thanks for any help that you can offer

If i remember correctly, you can use 7x57 Mauser ammo. The Brits did not want to name a Rigby chambering after the Germans, so changed the name, but the cartridges should be interchangeable. NOTE: Research thsi and do not try without verifiying the info. Remember you get what you pay for when it comes to advice. TD

yup, the 7X57 is the same and have plenty of that ammo.

But what I want for the collection is one of these boxes of ammo that was an option to buy at the time these guns where available.

somewhere i read you can take .275 rigby into mexico if your hunting but not 7 mauser. due to the military caliber restrictions. of course taking any ammo to mexico is an ordeal and you have to account for all rounds fired and unfired, coming and going.

cartel members not subject to such restrictions apparently.
