I have never seen or believed the whole "i saw a ufo" thing...at least until today. I was taking the kids outside at 6:30am to load them in the truck for the ride to school. One of my twin girls (5 years old) said" look daddy an airplane". I just blew it off and said "thats great". Then she hits me with this "I didnt know airplanes can fly backwards". That got my attention I looked up. There was a bright dot moving across the sky from NE to SE however there were no flashing marker lights which seemed odd. Then the darned thing freaking STOPPED and then backed up a rather significant distance before moving forward again. I ran back into the house an grabbed my vortex binoculars, once I found it I noticed there were actually 3 objects flying in a triangular pattern, the two smaller objects were more faint and not visible by the naked eye. I tried zooming but all I could see were the bright lights. It was truly bizarre. North Central WV btw The cell pic I took just shows a bright dot 🙄

Maybe part of the china syndrome?
Wished you could have taken a video of them
I tried to take a picture but all it shows is one blurry dot. The other two were only visible with the binoculars. It was also twilight which made it harder to photograph.

When I was in the Air Force working in weather, we were tasked to handle all UFO reports. Most turned out to be nothing. However, our upper air station at Indian Springs AFB called in a report that they were actually tracking it with a Theodolite, an instrument similar to a surveyors transit. We set up ot theodolite and I began tracking as well. Springs gave us their coordinates make an easy find.
I tracked that thing for over two hours during which time it was absolutely stationary. Literally, it just hung there. I forget what the altitude was that we figured through triangulation but it was much higher than any regular weather ballon could go. Calls to NASA and other agenies denied any high altitude experiments so it went officially inthe the Air Forces "Blue Book" as a UFO. as we watched that thing, after about two hours it went straight up at a high rate of speed until it disappeared completely out of sight. We never did figure out just what it was. That was the only rock solid sighting I was involved with.
We got quite a few unconfirmed reports as Nellis and Indian Springs are close to Area 51. I did two three month TDY tours at "Springs" and saw a few things that were something off in the distance. What they were I have no idea. "Springs" was also quite close to where they tested all those atomic and hydrogen bombs and at times we took part in the wether aspect, usually high altitude ballon runs tracked until the burst. The reticle in a theodlite is just a plain crosshair just like you see in your rifle's scope. Great practice for rifle shooting for scope use. THose balloons were moving targets and you had to keep those crosshairs tight on the balloon.

I grew up in the 60s in the same town that hosts the state fair. Air shows with exhibition teams breaking the sound barrier happened every year, so I have a pretty good idea of how fast a plane appears to be moving when it hits the barrier.

Around 1978 or 79, I was camping in the mountains and walking up a small stream catching little brookies when I saw something I'll never forget. I looked up in time to see a black dot appear on the horizon and this plane (?) passed directly overhead about 200 yards up. As fast as I could turn around, the black dot disappeared over the other horizon. I've never seen anything move that fast in my life. No sonic boom, no engine sound, no big push of air. Just an eerie soft Whoosh sound as it went over.

No idea what it was, but it definitely had some alien technology.

A UFO hit a man’s chicken coop in Jack’s Creek, TN several years ago. Chickens were all OK. Coop was destroyed.

I still remember being a kid back in the late '50s. Some friends and I were playing outside after dark when we saw three dots in the sky. They were moving together in a triangular formation. When they turned, they did so by making sharp corners, not a normal curving path, and when they disappeared, they made a sudden acceleration UPWARDS. I can't explain that kind of motion by anything I've seen, even today.

I still don't believe the many reports of UAP's are extraterrestrial especially reports generated by government entities. The same goes with crop circles.
I'll believe it when I'm abducted by little green men and taken to their planet.

Not sure about yesterday, but a quick google search finds that the space station was visible in WV around that time on Tue morning and again today.
