Agree. The Derringers I've held were too big and heavy and only 2 shots. Still I think they are neat if not practical

I also carry a Scandium Jframe air light .357. The recoil doesn't bother me. Most people claim it's the worst recoil they've experienced. Something tells me these derringers are worse.

if your in a situation i don't think you will notice recoil. but with only 1 or 2 rds. you are certtainly going to be aware when you run dry

I have a German made "Windicator" 357 Magnum with a two-inch barrel.
It is extremely unpleasant with 357+P rounds. Last time I shot it I got a cut on my hand.
38 Specials from now on.

my father in law had a north american arms 22 with the belt buckel holster.i fired it once placing my thumb on the rear of the cylinder.cut my thumb. he filed the front si ght just a little, a fella was fishing in the farm pond so he took the little gun out to show him. the fella promptly told him he probably couldn't hit any thing with that. well taking the challenge he dispatched his bobber. there is probably a lesson here about derringers and the people who aspire to own and shoot them. i believe in angels, demons and miracles for what its worth.

In your first picture you identified the cartridge on the right as a .45 ACP. I believe it's a .32.

No thanks! That thing has got to be brutal. Solid frame (derringer) vs. semi auto (Desert Eagle) is apples vs. oranges. No recoil abatement from a slide. And that grip doesn't look like any help with recoil, plus the sharp edges behind the trigger guard and on top of the GF. Bet your thumb web isn't going to like that hammer under recoil either. That thing shows all the signs of extreme discomfort. Anyone who would consider this as a CC will probably find it hard to get in suitable practice time. Two shots and you're done. And you're hand probably won't want to shoot any of the other guns you may have brought to the range with you.

I tried to self-diagnose my condition and I'm either a high functioning autistic or borderline delusional sociopath. My wife told me I have ass-burgers. I have no idea what that is.

...and yes , have seen folks with a severe forehead laceration from the front sight blade of a Blackhawk 30 carbine, it does happen.......:(:rolleyes:

My 5'5" navy vet dad laughingly said, The blackhawk in 30 carbine owned by my scoutmaster is "kinda loud" but never made a comment on the recoil, and passed on buying it, too. Them "sawmill dollar" doan allus go as fur as one'd like it should.
