More of a lurker in my time on this forum, but I own multiple Rugers (Mini-14s, Mini-30s, SR9C, etc).
Am interested in maybe obtaining an American Farmer Tribute 10/22, but have been unable to see one in person. And can't find a concise review anywhere online, just TALO marketing material & auction/sales info.
Can someone who owns one (or at least handled one extensively) describe how well the stock is carved & finished (is carving smooth, any wood fibers/frays present, etc)? I know Ruger produces excellent products but its quite a complex design for mass production, and I just wondering if it looks as great in person as it does in pictures?
While I realize its just another firearm to some, but I enjoy finely-made products that hold up well to close scrutiny. Any close-up pics showing blemishes or conversely how nice the details are would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any review links/close-up pictures/comments!
