How to change letter to picture / avatar?

I would like to change my "J" to something else. I went to Preferences but couldn't find a way. I'm posting here because I didn't know where else to put it. Any help or knowledge (maybe I can't change it?) greatly appreciated.

Instead of preferences, try ACCOUNT DETAILS.
