My SR40 is doing great. Also have one of the original release, numbered SR9 that came with the knife unfired and also one (SR9) that I got as a bargain purchase for shooting. Sent it back to Ruger for what I thought was a striker issue (pencil test). Ruger checked it out and said all was good. Installed any new parts that had been upgrades during the manufacture of the product line at no charge.

I would not ever get rid of my 40c. It has been hiking with me for years now.
I just posted an ammo question in this section about some hotter loads.

I have owned SR9 for over ten years, still like it. Also carried SR9/40 c when situation dictated.
Actually, just got a 2nd SR9 last year, then bought a .40 upper (cheap) at ebay so I can shoot 40 ammo I that I have.

Aside from adding a Hogue gripper sleeve, my SR40 is as pristine after firing 1,146 rounds than the day I bought it. :)

However, I'm still irked when a live round is ejected occasionally with the spent case when discharged.

I miss the old P95s.....I did snag a DAO P97 when they were still around

The SR series replaced the plastic P guns and I believe the Security pistols replaced the SR's?

Honestly, my DAO P94 9mm that has 1000s of rounds through it is too reliable to replace , also my P944 .40 so I never got an SR.
