I have 2 hornets, one is a contender chambered in standard 22 hornet and the second is a Winchester 43 chambered in K-hornet. The rifle is not marked as K-hornet and that got me to wondering what if someone unknowingly fired the wrong rounds in either gun ? I know the K-hornet will shoot the std hornet rounds as the K-hornet rounds I have were fire-formed from std hornet brass. But what if the K-hornet rounds got fired in the contender ?

Wouldn't fit. K-Hornet brass is larger in diameter just below the neck after a standard round is blown out.
