Where I keep my bullets. No, it ain't fire proof or theft proof. But at least I know where the bullets are - which is important at my age. Stained pine box, spalted maple lid. Thanks for looking. :)

I have a Ammo box coming from a maker in Cody, will not be here until next week, when I get it together I'll send you a pic along with the two pistol boxes he has made for me. One for a single and one for doubles. I plan to just screw mine to the floor, if the bad guys get in they'll have to take it out a box at a time.

My design and build. Cut from my trees. I've made tons of stuff, from small boxes, urns, and sculptures to furniture, cabinetry, and staircases. Some of the things I've done you can see here if you like: http://s79.photobucket.com/user/43gm94l/library/Shop/Old%20projects?sort=4&page=1
I'd like to see the pistol boxes. Made a few myself, and always interested in designs from other woodworkers.

GunnyGene said:Selena, I'd love to, but I'm new here and don't know who's who. Perhaps you could introduce? :)
GunnyGene said:Dave sounds like somebody I'd like to have a drink with. :) Sorry about the inevitable loss of your walnut tree, but sometimes woodworkers just can't contain themselves. White oak is great stuff. I hope he quartersawed it instead of flat sawn. Quartersawn is far more stable for things like table tops, and much prettier. It's also very expensive retail. I did a kitchen island for a relative out of it a few years ago. I have a 400 year old white oak tree that I'll probably never cut down, but if I did it would likely fetch $10k or so.
