Went Saturday morning, had an excellent time as there were many nice displays and the sales tables were packed with many fine Rugers throughout the entire show . The judges were hard at work at noon when I left, so I don't know who came out on top this time. sorry I took no pictures at all. It was good to see some of the gang there, thanks to Rick and Peggy for putting on a great show.

I will try and get the results and some pictures up in the next few days. There were alot of Rugers. It was good to see old faces and some new faces who will be entering our family of Ruger collecting. We had a total of 14 displays.

The photo taking at the WAC shows is tightly controlled as is buying and selling. I do have a couple of photos of my own display. I'll try to get them up tomorrow.

Terry, Glad to hear you guys made it home safely. Yes WAC is a very strict club. You must be a member in order to buy and sell any firearms. Membership is 35.00 a year (first time members pay a 12.00 background check one time only unless they possess an CPL) and we offer two shows per month. Visitors can purchase any thing but guns. All our members must go through a background check processes before becoming members. Out of state members may purchase handguns but the gun must be sent to their FFL. This is a federal law and WAC is one of two organizations who do this from what I understand in the country. We also don't mind picture taking "BUT" you must have one of our security agents present and photo's are only taken of displays. Even though I am a director and operations manager of the club I also need a security person at my side. Our editor of our monthly news journal and his photographer also must have a security agent with them at all times while taking pictures. As a director we have at least one individual "Vendor" who sells a gun to a non member per month. This is a one year automatic suspension with a review in 6 months. These are actions WAC strives to help protect or rights as gun owners. In all Rugermania show was a great success and wish to thank all who participated and attended. We did have a little excitement Sunday morning with a ND and we are in process of taking appropriate action against the individual. A lot of good Rugers also came to the show to be bought and sold.. I will get pictures of the show out later this week.

We DID have a good time talking Rugers with folks.

While one's first reaction might be to chaff at the rules, they all have good reasons they were put in place and, in spite of all the arguments for the 2nd amendment, the truth is, the days of free wheeling gun shows are over. Too many folks are too quick to take advantage of any mis-step on the part of gun owners. The Negligent Discharge on Sunday morning put a damper on the whole show. PTL, no one was hurt. However, it could have severe repercussions for the club and it's use of the fair grounds. It's a VERY serious matter and the club will deal with it as such.

The rules actually make it easier to deal with folks because one knows that anyone with a WAC ID has been vetted and their background checked. They should be like minded and one of the good guys. It was also nice to be able to speak to folks by name as they must display their WAC ID at the show.
One can also reasonably expect that any photos will not be mis-used by anti–gun news outlets or for other less than honest purposes.
