Hey Peeps,
My name is Josh. I concentrate on the Mosin-Nagant for a living, and gun-related hobbies are building/modifying 1911s, handloading rifle and pistol, bullet casting, and rimfire precision shooting. (This latter is something I've recently returned to after far too long away.)
I've owned Rugers in the past. My first pistol was a Ruger Super Single Six I acquired around 1994 and I wish I still had; I've owned two Ruger 10/22s -- also gone -- and I currently have a Ruger LCP II in .380acp for when I can't carry my 1911, like when I'm mountain biking or attending an event where a cover garment isn't feasible.
I came across this forum and decided to sign up because of the LCP II and due to the fact that I am planning a 10/22 build within the next year. I was going to do it this year, but decided to refurbish my 2009ish Savage Mk 2 bolt action instead. It was defective from the factory and I kinda' just laid it aside when I moved to Mosins other milsurps, but it grated on me having a half-functioning firearm, so I fixed it first.
Funny thing: I thought I signed up years ago when I still had a 10/22 and an original LCP, but no email I have, or had, worked to find my password, so I assume that old account is gone.
My riding/descrete pistol...
My original LCP alongside the first RIA build in any intermediate stage; still figuring out exactly what I wanted.
I went to Appleseed with both of these, and scored Rifleman with both, the Ruger being first.
