Hello!
I am enjoying a vintage Security Six .357/.38sp revolver serial starting in 159-73xxx. I handled and shot other Rugers over the years that were always solid and dependable.
When I moved and had a little more, temporary cash than is characteristic of me, I splurged and bought a Colt Python 2020 model (like 2023 or 2024) but I find myself carrying and practicing more with the Ruger because it's got the 4.25(?)" barrel whereas the Colt has a 6", and I'm finding the 4" (or so) a smidge more comfortable to handle and use in that regard. I do hope never to sell any gun every again, and enjoy trying to squeeze a mote more accuracy at greater distance with the 6" barrel, but here I go using the Ruger more. A little more rigid in its moving parts but obviously a great gun. It was my dad's and one of the guns I learned on, not that it's been fed a lot of ammo overall.
Thanks!
