Is the Ruger Hawkeye pistol rear sight the same as a standard Blackhawk?

Yes it is the same, as Ruger was in the process of making their own rear sight and discontinuing the Micro rear sight. The Hawkeye as well as the other adjustable rear sight Ruger revolvers at this time, they will be found with both types of sights. But as Ale-8(1) stated they will be interchangeable.

You have to realize that the Old 357 and 44 Flattops had a different rear sight and they will not interchange with any of the raised ribbed protected rear sight revolvers.

The MICRO marked rear sight is more desirable and what goes on your Hawkeye will depend on the SN range. Do your homework. PM if you wish... 8)
