Well another raucous night. The wife in one chair and I on the couch. Watched the fireworks via the tube. It is 6 on my front porch. No way I would be outside in that.
Best to all my Forum friends for the year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR and just because I could I stood on my own two feet to ring in the new year.

Hi,

There's someone in the neighborhood who gets some industrial grade fireworks to celebrate 4th of July and New Year every year. Normally for New Year, they won't light anything off until midnight, which often wakes me up. This year I guess they're celebrating "New York time", or else it's been so warm the last couple of weeks they don't realize which holiday they're celebrating, as the booms started about 9 and have been steady since then. So while sleeping was planned until the "big" boom went off, the schedule's been changed. Guess I'll get to see the clock hit 12 in a short while. Happy New Year, all!

Happy new year also, too everyone. I actually stayed awake past 12 this year.
It's about 8 degrees out, my wife and daughter are dragging me out to a big mall as soon as the car warms up.
I'd rather stay home and oil some guns but I want to spend some time with them so off I go.
Hope Im not setting some sort of domestic trend here.
