This past week-end I set up at the gunshow at Mansfield, we had 90 tables and on Saturday they had 2,200 people come through the door
it was a mob scene like everywhere else in the state. A LOT of money changed hands that day, and I lucked out on two great snags.

Bought a beautiful pair of (Heavy) Super Blackhawk Stags for $50.00, put them on a O.M. Super Hi/Polish and liked them so much that I decided not to sell her. I had a lot of people wanted to buy those Stags when they seen them on the gun.
.
An early 10" Octagon T/C Contender barrel in .256 Mag.
Full box of .256 Mag ammo along with half a box of reloads and spent brass. Also got one of the old .256 Mag. brass only box's.

After the show closed on Saturday I decide to take a walk around the floor before going home and saw a buddy from Columbus at his table and went over to see how he did, and he pulled out two (95%) Colt Pythons (4" Blue) and a Mint (6") Diamondback boxed. We shot the bull for about 10 minutes and I told him to meet me in the mourning for breakfast, as I was walking away he called me back and said he picked up an O.M. 4" Single-Six for me a couple of weeks ago if I was interested, so I went back to his table.

He handed me a small revolver case and I unzipped it and damm near fainted,  ,,inside the case lay a "Tri-Color" Type II  . Pat said he knew the gun had a couple issues but he went ahead bought it for me, if I wanted it ok and if not that was ok to. I told him that I would buy the gun and ask him what he wanted, he told me that he wanted $50.00 more than he paid for it,, reaching DEEP into my pocket I ask "OK how much did you pay for it?",,,he replied $300.00,,  :D :D :D 8)

Taking a deep breath and remembering Radicals past negotiating tips of I said,,

Terry! Way to go.   Back in the 80s if you found a Lightweight for sale, you would expect to pay $350 for it. Keep a look out your front door, as I'm sure that the Police will be there any day, because you stole that Lightweight. Oh! By the way. That is one nice looking Lightweight!!!

Guy next to me had 7, 30 rd. Factory mags boxed @ $100.00 each and 10 Factory 20 rd mags boxed @ $80.00 each, first two guys that walked up to his table bought them all,,$1500.00 he would not come down any.

Mini-14's were selling for $900.00 to about $1,200.00, and the only two Mini-30's I saw went for $1,250.00 and $1,400.00, Colt AR's were
off the wall anywhere $1,000.00 (well used) to over $2,400.00.

I picked up 2 Ruger BX-25 and paid $30 with the sales tax.......folks are just plain "stupid", dumber than boxes of rocks, and just goes to show $$$$ means NOTHING..........sad really at the "greed" that surrounds us...I'm still 'trying to get RENE price for ANY Ruger we've been selling the past "how many years...??"

Dan, You got the "Greed" part right! Same guy that sold those Mini Mags, had three early P-89's NIB 2 blue,1 SS,, when he put the guns on the table he took the extra hi/cap (15 rd) magazine out of each one of them and offered them for sale separate @$40.00 each.

Saw a post elsewhere discussing the instances of dealers removing the "extra" magazines from Glocks and selling them separately. Glock has issued a statement condemning this practice and asking to have these dealers reported to them.

Greed, indeed.

Well one man's "greed" is another man's "profit maximization" ......

or could they be selling the Glocks a little cheaper with one mag to gain a price advantage over the competition

a basic stripped down model....and we have extra mags if you want one

If people wouldn't pay the prices we wouldn't be having this conversation :!: :!: :!:

Well as always JMO and worth way less than I charge for it 8) 8) 8) RR.

I've spent the last hour searching for the post but cannot find it. Believe me or not.

The situation was one of dealers selling Glocks at the current panic-induced elevated prices with the extra mags removed from the individual cases, then selling the mags at equally-elevated prices. The post also included a copy of Glock's letter condemning the practice.

I'll call it gouging, but I'll agree it wouldn't work if folks weren't willing to pay the inflated prices. To me, it's dealer greed. Call it whatever you like.

JMHO and worth exactly the same as yours.

:)
