My brother and I will be trolling down the Willamette Valley and then over to Klamath Falls, Bend, and Boise next week. Anybody know any "can't miss" gunshops along that way? We're looking for used guns only: Ruger SAs of all kinds, C&R .22 autos, and maybe a #1, early Savages, and parts for the above. So shops that do mainly new retail aren't of any interest.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I would call Tom at Lost Creek Armory in Bend and see what he has. He likes
collectibles and custom revolvers. Not much here in the mid valley but little shops without much in the way of older Rugers. You could check with Guncrafters in Salem. Doug has some older Rugers in the shop sometimes.

If you happen to be around Salem on a weekend, check for the Rickreal gun show about 20 miles off I-5 west of Salem. Small show but always seems to have a few jewels. In the Boise area, of course Boise Gun is always worth checking out. Nearby is Benny's pawn in Meridian---not a bunch of firearms but I have managed to pick a few out of there case. Also close to Boise is Boulevard Gun & Pawn in Nampa. It changed ownership about 1-2 years ago. The older couple that had it for years were always great to chat with. The new guy seems to be more about business. They do have a pretty good size inventory and are only about 5 minutes off the interstate, so worth the detour to check out.
If you happen to reload lead---while passing through Baker City you should stop at Oregon Trail Laser Cast. They always seem to have some sort of deal cooking---buy 3 boxes and get one free. You have to ask about deals and do the dance. You also save on shipping costs. More than once my trunk as come home with a few pounds of lead dragging it down.
