Hi,

Gregg was no angel, or so he told us, but I hope he's in a better place now, back with Duane again. Lots of good memories came out of that band, and he'll be missed sorely. RIP, Gregg.

Sad to hear when we saw it earlier, RIP...

Allman Brothers are a favorite of both of ours. I agree with the critics that Live At Fillmore East is at least one of the best if not the best live albums ever. Eat A Peach is probably my second favorite.

This is to me the essence of Allman Brothers: Whippin' Post from Fillmore East, September 1970. This is the stuff that moved music from one genre to another. Incalculable impact. Absolute dynamite. Even today.

Gregg, Duane, Dicky, Butch, Berry, Jai, Tom...

Totally new ground.

Great band! Their music lives on without them.

RIP:

Duane Allman 10/71

Berry Oakley 11/72

Butch Trucks 1/17

Gregg Allman 5/17

Very sorry to hear of this. Had to dust off my well-worn copy of "Brothers and Sisters" and give it a spin on the turntable tonight. RIP, Mr. Allman, and thank you for music that always made me wish I'd been born a little bit further south.

Just spoke to my bother about Gregg

He ran sound for them many times throughout the years depending on where they were traveling

Although he ran sound for many bands (as well as rented them equipment) ABB was his favorite
