I First visited this place in 1950/51 when my Dad stationed in Jacksonville with the US Navy; I was in the 4th/5th Grade. There weren't NEAR as many tourists in them days.

NOTE: there is an annoying pop up thingy at the start, if you mess about, you can get rid of it and IF someone comes up with the proper method. PLEASE Post it

Been there a few times and find something new each visit. The Ponce de León Hotel, which is now part of Flagler College, is an unbelievable place. If you go there you MUST visit the Fountain of Youth. I am here to tell you that it didn't work for me but you might have better luck.

I was lost in thought yesterday, thinking of a friend who died too young 10 years ago Friday. He lived in St Augustine. He was also a pretty gifted Boatwright, CG, you'd have appreciated his skills and knowledge.

Thanks for posting this.

I've lived 30min from St Augustine most of my life. For a short time after my navy service I lived "on the island." Great town. Lots of history and great places to eat!

I still keep my Tour Guide License in St. Augustine. Lived here since 1998. Moved "North" to retire. From Jupiter. I drove the Trolleys from 2004 to 2009. Lotta fun. We love the history here. That's why we came.

Hey glasstream, had some friends that drove the red trolley for awhile. Kevin Rose and Missy Pope.....know either of them by chance? Kevin manages the Pirate Museum now. Not sure what Missy is doing now.

My family just got back from vacation there a week ago. Nice place for sure... I enjoyed it and if I had never been to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I would be smitten with the place.

St. Augustine is where my new bride and I went for our honeymoon in '75. Beautiful city! It rained the entire time except for the last day. We stayed busy in the motel room...

That video makes me want to go back...
