Some of you know I have been whining about being stuck in TN. I am real close to going home now. The place here will be listed Mon. I have been looking at places to rent in Missoula (my home) and will probably go up next mo. My wife will follow later. Anyway here is my carry gun for fishing and hiking. I just finished it up. Nothing special. .45 Colt with 310 gr cast over 22.5 gr H4227. I never liked H110. In case I meet a big ursus horribilis.

I am not sure. I saw it on Ebay and took a chance. It is oversize a bit as it would not go through two other Blackhawk Cylinders all the way, but fits this one perfectly. Appears to have been well made and finished.

Some of my best vacations have been to the Flathead area. In Whitefish, we had a grizz running through the neighborhood one day.

Ahmen Slim! Thanks. Cal. folks have bought most of my stompin grounds and fenced them off. A couple big music stars bought a portion of the Bitterroot (one fork) and closed it. Totaly ignoring the stream accesss law. Good thing we still have Forest Service, BLM, Champion, and State lands to roam.

Absolutely! I left back in '88 and came back in '02. Grew up in Corvallis down in Ravalli Co.. You can imagine how much it changed, so I decided to start over up here in the Flathead. Did you know we have a Super Walmart here now? Out of the 3 or 4 sizes, it's the one with the biggest footprint. Also getting a Cabela's this year I believe. I don't know if that area north of Kalispell was developed when you left, but if not, get ready for a shock!

I contract with DNRC during the summer months, so I get keys for all the gates.
