The success of anything like this depends on there being a market for it. If enough folks think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread it will sell like the proverbial hotcakes. The engineer just designs something to whatever specifications he's given, but it's the marketing department that sells it . . . see all the ads in all the gun magazines and all the glowing product reviews therein.

IMO, many of them, if they had to design breakfast,
would starve to death before lunch.

No aspersions cast on the two or three dozen in our nation
that can actually do productive work. :roll:

People debate over running hot or not, and Glock decides to run with out the gun put together. Doesn't make any sense to me. Seen pictures of this for a few months, it didn't make sense initially and hasn't improved at all, at this point.

Seems like an excellent idea. And for those of you that worry it will not be ready when needed, here is a hint: as you are going about your normal day without a worry, suddenly the background music gets a bit ominous, alerting you to be cautious. The volume of the music increases, so you draw out this gun, swivel the bottom into position, load a round in the chamber just as the bad guy comes into view. You dispatch him with one round fired as you roll to the right, falling to the floor causing him to miss with the several rounds he is firing at you. All ends well. Oh, wait a moment. I was thinking of the movies, rather than the real world. Never mind.

The problem is we are usually supervised by older more experienced (read really out there) engineers. And so it goes.

The idea is good, to make a folding, small survival weapon, make it a small package to store better in say a bush plane/ snow machine/ off road vehicle. But, it's the wrong gun/caliber for that use. And no use for the CCW guy. When thinking of a Glock handgun, I want it to work fast out of the holster and in the hand. not to unpack and have assembly required as the bullets fly by.
