***The Ruger is sold pending funds from the buyer.***
For sale is a Speed Six (round-butt Service Six) in .357 with the 2.75” barrel. I believe that this was one of the early Speed Sixes that were made using a Service Six frame. This particular gun came in a Speed Six box and the hand-written serial number matches the gun, (the SN's are partly blacked out in the photos.)
The Ruger is in excellent condition. There are a number of light scratches on the gun which aren't visible in the photos, but overall, the finish is in great shape. The lockup is tight and the gun shoots well. With the fixed sights, the gun shooots to POA with 158 g 38 special ammo. Included with the gun are the following:
- Pachmayr finger groove grips with Ruger medallion
- Pachmayr grip without finger grooves (I prefer these.)
- Herrett Shooting Star grips that were shortened by me to a boot grip size. (They were damaged when I bought them, so I removed the bottom section and beveled the edge.)
- K&D OWB holster (black.) This holster was made for a K-frame revolver, so it’s still a bit snug. The holster original came with a thumb strap; I trimmed the strap and refinished the leather edges. The holster fits a 1.75” belt.
- Bianchi OWB holster (brown.) I purchased his holster on another forum. It’s used, but fits perfectly. The exposed trigger bothered me at first, but I found that the thumb strap and the snub fit on the cylinder make it impossible to shoot the gun when holstered.
Price: $475 shipped from my FFL to your FFL. Unfortunately, I will not be doing local sales for this gun, as my work and family schedule is pretty crazy right now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have any other questions.
