I bought this 5.5" 44spl New Model Flattop back in 2009 with the intention of fitting up a Power Custom #5 grip frame. I removed the XR3 grip frame and used it for another project. This receiver has been sitting in the safe ever since, and now I'm clearing out unfinished projects. I shot the revolver approximately 100 times back in '09; it shows very little wear, as can be seen in the pictures.
The revolver is complete with two exceptions: the grip frame and the grip frame's attaching screws and related hardware and the pawl plunger (#23 on the Brownells schematic here: http://www.brownells.com/schematics/Ruger-/New-Vaquero-sid935.aspx) and the pawl plunger spring (#24 on the schematic; you get both the pawl and spring for $2.99).
The revolver will come with the Ruger plastic case and paperwork (fired casing, etc.) that it came with originally.
Just add a grip frame of your choice, replace a few small parts, and you're off to the races with a custom Flattop of your own. :D
