Anybody here remember the old radio program "Fibber McGee & Molly?" McGee would go for a walk and meet neighbors who lapsed into a story. One such character was Digger O'Dell, who greeted with, "It is I, Digger O'Dell, your friendly undertaker." This spoken is a sort of spooky, low voice. Was discussing this and was reminded of this.

When I was working, and got home, I would often announce myself to Nita with, "It is I, your friendly husband."

Nita always was dressed, had her make up on, and dinner ready to put on the table. Every weekday night.

Bob if you have access to SiriusXM radio you can listen to all the old radio shows from the 30s &40s. Linda and I keep ourselves entertained listening in the house and while on long road trips. The Shadow Knows, Gunsmoke, The Green Hornet, The Great Gildersleeve, Philip Marlowe, and many more.

On weeknights Monday through Friday at 10pm Eastern time, 2200 hours for the Military type, there is an hour of old radio programs on AM740 CFZM from Toronto Canada. The have a 50,000 watt clear channel and can be heard in several states.
