I went traveling last Friday with some friends to Huntsville, AL. We visited Larry's and then JC's. At JC's I discovered 20 Handloader magazines from the early 1970's.

I have looked over most of them. I know the data is old and obsolete but the bullet casting articles are still useful.

Oh, they were $1 each and were on sale @ 20% off. :D

I have Handloader magazines from the last ten years or so and Rifle magazines for the last few.

I also bought a Ruger metal sign off the wall for $25. I may have paid too much but I wanted it for my gun room.

The real shocker of the day is that none of the three of us bought any guns.

Thanks,

Thanks for the post. Those old magazines are nice to look at aren't they?

Considering I was just a toddler then, I get to experience them for the first time. I was born in 1969 so the '72-'74 magazines are a little before my time.

The advertisements are also most interesting. For instance, I was not aware that Ohaus was involved in reloading other than scales.

There was one article about a very small .41 Mag cast bullet mold that was under 100 grains and the loads for it in a BlackHawk handgun. The mold would be interesting if you could find one.

I'll post if I find anything really interesting that I can share here.

Thanks,
