I decided to get a .357 Blackhawk for hunting this year. I love my Outdoorsman, but I wanted a gun to squeeze every inch of power out of the cartridge. I found a Old Model 6 1/2 inch barrel in about 95% plus (I never like using near mint), unaltered with the original grips. I put it on hold for $475 which is the cheapest I have seen in my neighborhood (the closest was a similar gun for $595) along with everything I want. Right now it sits in pistol permit purgatory, when the paperwork, finances and time become one and I can go get it and start experimenting with #358156 bullets, Speer Deep Curls and 2400 powder all in anticipation of fall and deer season.
