What is a fair price for a first year production Ruger M77R flat bolt in 243 caliber? I would say the gun is about 90% with some light freckling on the barrel. Stock has a few scratches but overall looks pretty good.

A friend of mine picked up a NIB flat bolt 77 in .350RM awhile
back, dont remember what he paid for it.

This would be a non-prefix gun. Very subjective considering the condition. If I wanted a non-prefix as a shooter I may give $450. I was offered a non-prefix under 300 serial number year ago for $300 and turn it down. Was maybe 80-85%. Think it was serial number #297 if my memory serves me right.

There was one around here about a year ago. 85% condition or so and I believe it had a prefix... It was priced at $500 if I remember correctly and didn't even last a week...

3 digit serial number = $650
4 digit serial number = $450

2 digit serial number? Call me.

.243Win is one of the two most common calibers in the 1st year flatbolts; .308Win is the other.

For calibers other than those add $100 or more, depending on which caliber.

JMHO.
