If you are having failure to chamber problems and have isolated it to the magazine (in other words, it chambers fine with another magazine), the magazine can be fixed.
If it is a magazine with the plastic feed lips and the lips are worn, toss the mag. This is for magazines with good feed lips.
If the round is catching with the bullet nose at the top of the chamber, put several layers of aluminum tape on the front lower part of the magazine.
If the bullet nose is hanging up on the lower part of the chamber, put several layers of the tape on the rear lower part of the magazine.
Keep putting layers of tape on until the rifle feeds properly.
Once it is feeding right, for a cleaner looking magazine, remove the tape, measure the thickness and then find a piece of flat plastic the same thickness as the layers of tape and super glue the plastic to the magazine body. Taper the top of the plastic prior to glueing it on so that it does not hang up when inserting the magazine.
