20mm would be a what... 79 caliber? So it's already a controlled device. As for that little exhibition... boys grow into men if they live long enough. If I were a gambler I would start a pool of how long that would have to survive and/or how long it would take for his luck to run out.

Dad, career army, told me this, "if someone would put a shoulder stock on a 155mm, you'd (meaning me) would be the first in line to fire it". Back then I reckon he might have been right. I am older and wiser thank God. Still love to touch off big bores and 12ga slugs, just a rush. I was next in line to fire off a .500 nitro express double when both rounds went off on the feller in front of me. End of session for sure.
Back to post, it sure was dumb of them fellers to try.
