OK: My situation is that the federal Office of Personnel Management screwed up my paycheck for two years and just discovered it (Overpaid me). I will have to pay it back, even though it is their fault (and it is a sizeable amount). Therefore, I must liquidate some of my guns. Some are collectors, some I simply don't shoot; Some are safe queens. Good news is that I found an FFL who will ship out of state for me. Bad news is he charges $40 per firearm, which I have to pass on to you.

BB,
If you check with a WA. FFL, I believe he can ship you iten
ms to an FFL in any state...IIRC The wa. law is only for ftf Transaction in the state of Wa.
JIM...........

Shipping out of state ought not be an issue in the future. The number of guns you just put up for sale, you will be considered a dealer in the future and can ship on your license. Good luck with your sales!

Bearbio,

The new law has nothing to do with shipping guns. You can ship a gun to a licensed dealer (FFL) in any state, same as before I-594. Good luck with your sale.

Josh

CA has had this problem for years. FTF at your local dealer is easiest but you as a private citizen may ship a gun to any FFL dealer (if they accept from private person - some only accept from another FFL). Fed law trumps WA law in that any interstate transfer (to a dealer or person who resides in a different state even though he is visiting WA) must be via an FFL. Don't know about WA but in CA there is no limit on the number of guns you can sell per year (as long as you don't appear to be in the business of selling/flipping guns). There is a handgun transaction limit of 5. Each of the 5 transactions may be for multiple handguns.
