Been looking for a #1 ever since Lipseys announced their "run" last year. But after seeing the quality of the wood, high prices, and sub par stock fitment I gave up on the Lipsey run. For the last couple of months been checking the auction sites on a regular basis looking for a 30-06 that had nice wood and a fair price. Already have a huge selection of components for the '06 and didn't want to invest more $$ and space into a caliber I didn't already reload for. The rifle found fit the bill nicely and came equipped with one of my favorite hunting scopes, Leupold 2.5x8. The price was fair and the wood is easy on the eyes:
