First real range session since my surgery. Started with small stuff and ended up with the 1911. Not a lot of rounds from each, but enough to know I can handle the 1911 again.

Tomorrow it's going to be

I had C4 C5 disc replacement implants done Oct 2nd, still can't hold pistol up and shoot left handed unless I use both hands and then only good for 2 or 3 rounds before it hurts too much.
Tried shooting the AR, hard to hold up fore end with left hand but I did shoot tight groups

Jeepnik, glad your getting back at it.

It's been a little over 6 months since my bypass surgery. I started with an OM 4 5/8" single six then my OM 44 special with 8 grains of power pistol and a 240 s.w.c. Finally after holding and fondling my Bisley 480 for months I took it out and put 5 rounds of 420 grainers through it. I need to work on hand strength but managed it ok. Next time will probably be a 32 H&R single six and a 1911, I'll stay away from the 480...just needed to prove to myself I could still handle it.

Enjoy your range time.
Mike
