At the end of 2009 I picked a nice 10/22 stainless with walnut stocks and made plans to try some modifications. Over the next year I had the trigger worked and slowly saved up some cash to get all the parts I wanted to make a 'pinto' rifle. By 02/2011 I was ready to complete the project, but life got a little out of hand the next few years and I never got around to it.

Day before yesterday I pulled it all out again and began it's completion. As of today all that remains is sighting her in. I'm a happy dude.

What sort of trigger job by Brimstone did you do? Why them... Previous experience or word of mouth? I ask because I've contemplated using them for an older metal trigger group I have.

Your gun looks nice too by the way. The stock looks very comfortable.

It was the Tier 2 job. I went with them based on other's experiences posted on RFC. This was years ago.

They were customer friendly and the work was good. This is the only trigger work I've had done on a 10/22 so I have nothing to compare to, but it is not 'smooth as glass'. Close, but not quite. Length of pre-travel, break and over travel are all very good. IIRC, pull (according to Brimstone) is between 2.5 and 3lbs. The auto-bolt release is a sweet feature.

I'm happy and I feel that I got my money's worth.

Looking at the photo, I can say "that is a nice rifle".

Reading your selection of upgrades, that is a NICE rifle!"

Now we need to see some 25/50 yard groups
