Whether you agree or disagree with a mod, you should never do it publicly on the board. If you have an issue take it up in a PM. Genreally you will get a reasonable response. Your "issue" may not be you, but a similar situation happening and they can't show favoritism.
I have been a mod on numerous boards, calling the mods out in public is generally an instant boot me off request.

I second what DixieBoy said & it is awful that we have people who can shut down a "Comic Strip" just because they have the power. Reminds me of a White House.
I repeat - take it offline - public wars kill boards faster than anything else.
If you don't get the response you want with a mod or multiple mods, then take it up with the board owner.
BTW, Ed isn't banned, he is choosing to leave becasue his nose is out of joint. Whether he is right or wrong, was slighted or wasn't, he ios making the choice. I can think of a few that have FAR BETTER reasons to bail yet they hang around.

A. I wish I had any idea what any of you are talking about -- I never locked any thread with a Tack Drivers cartoon in it.
B. The thread I locked was about staying where you are not wanted -- A topic that was likely to devolve into a shouting match filled with personal attacks, especially considering the way in which the OP was presented.
C. Calling out mods in the public forum is bad form and a violation of the rules. Don't do it. Contact the mod, another mod, or the admins if you have an issue you'd like to bring up.
D. The Lounge is not the place for political threads. If any appear here, they'll be moved to the Politics forum, which is appropriate.

You guys are so far off the mark that it is sad. As has been stated unequivocally, Fast Ed has NOT been censored in any way, shape or form. The one thread that was locked was posted by tallbad. Not Fast Ed. Your rush to judgement and public lynching while ignorant of any hard facts is pathetic and irresponsible, not to mention just plain rude. And wrong.
We mods are sitting here scratching our heads and wondering what is in the water you guys are drinking. Y'all have lost your ability to think clearly and reasonably. Do any of you know with certainty that Elfego El Gato has been completely absent from the forum? Do . You know with any certainty why Aminha or Cruzer Lou or Stoots have been visually absent for long periods of time? No. No, you don't. And for good reason - it's not any of your flipping business, unless those individuals wish to share it with you.
Some of you haven't been around long enough to know the history of earlier members. Yet, you turn on them as if you are familiar with their past here. What a lack of class.
Look. Support Fast Ed for the man he is, the friend he may have become, for his contributions over the years. Ask him to stay, if that is how you feel. But do not do so at the cost of disparaging another if you do not know or have all the facts. It reflects poorly on you. Is that what you honestly want?
