HARD TO FIND - a consecutively numbered pair of Flatgates. #27503 and 27504, in the original boxes with waxed paper and manuals. These are used guns, but in nice shape. #27503 is in excellent condition but does have a touch of wear at the muzzle and a 1/8" x 3/16" spot that could be rust, along with some possible pitting. I'm not sure what caused it, but it is the only distraction on the entire gun. Great hard rubber grips. #27504 shows a touch of muzzle wear also along with a tiny bit of wear on the leading edge of the cylinder. Again, very nice grips. Both appear to be entirely original. The boxes are numbered to the guns but show wear and broken corners, along with some paper loss. All in all. a nice rare pair. $2500 SHIPPED. Now the fine print: Please ask all questions, preferably by email - [email protected]. "I'll take it" posted here takes preference (except in the case of a local sale). Cash sale, not really looking for trades at this time. Continental US only and only where legal. PROMPT PAYMENT PLEASE - no layaway option available. All "Single-Six" s are 22's, & All "flatgates" are 5-1/2" barrels.
Great pair of guns!

Except for "Single-Sixs" that were chambered in .32 and .17.

I believe there talking Flategates.

Free bump ps
I suppose he might have been, but he did not say all "flatgates" are .22, which they are, he said all "single six"s are .22, which they are not.

Sorry for the confusion - I didn't think anybody would be dropping 2500 Big Ones if they didn't know exactly what these are! BTW - caliber is listed on the end of the boxes in the pics.....

These revolvers are authentic, early Ruger Single Six 22 Long Rifle. They are exactley like my father's 5 digit 1957 Ruger Single Six.

The box in which mine has, is exactley the same, but better condition.

I baby mine, now that I have it, it has good honest wear, sat for 7 years perfectly cleaned (which I did when Dad passed away), very accurate pistol, I would put it against my S&W 617 any day. I shoot mine about every another week.

But, I would give only $500 each ($1000 for both). The consecutively numbered pair has no meaning. They are meant to shoot and very accurate.

Mine is marked with Liquid Paper at the front sight for a 100yds.
Surprisingly very accurate at that range, rested on bench.

For off hand shoot'n, Curle little finger under grip
don't just hold and let revolver roll in hand, that is the only way I
have been able to accurately shoot.

"The consecutively numbered pair has no meaning."

Unless, of course, you are interested in that sort of thing, which many collectors are.

If you think this pair is "common" just try to find another pair like them.

Nice offering, Mike.

:)

Hey Norseman - if they are only worth $500, will you sell me yours for that price? Just askin'......

Saw these guns the day Acrylictnk got them. All I can say is WOW, opportunities like this just don't come arround very often. Can't believe they are sill available.

Still amazes me: So many people have no idea of what is going on and have no books or knowledge before making statements..........There have been A LOT of changes in the past 58 years.........

Splitz don't give up. There are still a few of us young ones that know the meaning of these fine guns. Where Oh where have the true collectors gone?
