IT HURT Danged if the guy that bought her didn't up and divorce her a couple weeks ago. She was lookin lonely, and I had the cash this time, so I took her in and gave her a new home. I don't care how hard she bucks and kicks, I'm not turnin her loose again. She's mine now :!:

I was told the stocks are smoothed Sambar stag. I disassembled it tonight and gave it a thorough cleaning. I believe the maker's initials inside the grips were RCF. The date is 2001 on them. I'm going to give Hamilton his fee to go back and do the records search and get the story. I reset my 2400 thrower to 23.5 and loaded 25 440 LFNGC up to see how they behaved last night. I took them out back this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. I came back in about 30 minutes later and loaded the other 75 brass and some more 440s the same, and before I headed to town this evening at 5:30 I was out of ammo again :mrgreen: I thought this grip frame might be a bit rough on recoil, and it may with more serious loads, but it's an absolute pleasure to shoot this load. This is a 4 3/4" barrel, and the revolver weighs .2# more than my 6 1/2" Clements with barrel band in .500 JRH. That L frame under lug is the ticket. I switched the target sight out to a rough country, and am going to convert the front to a 30 degree vertical white line when I get time. I could have no other revolver and be in seventh heaven with this one alone. The .500 Linebaugh does a lot of work with low pressure, and it's a pleasure to shoot in this Redhawk. I've got others in the works that I haven't even fired yet, but this one and the little 97 are my new favorites I'm gonna crank the 2400 on up to 24 and reload that 100. Once I get that done I'm going to try some heavier loaded H110 loads with the same bullets.

Thanks Short Barrel My brain went into neutral for a bit there :roll: I've seen a lot of his stuff and was impressed with all of it. Good to finally have a set from him, and to now KNOW it :mrgreen: I'm a big time Bisley fan, and am shocked at how well this feels in my hand :shock: Maybe Roy's grip work has a little something to do with the feel.

You are welcome.I know Hamilton uses him a good bit,maybe exclusively.I haven't handled one of Roy's double action grips but subtle changes in grip shape can make a big difference in feel and function.You have a real,unique gem there.
