Not to malign McDonald's grub as being dog food, I thought a separate thread would be better. In fact, I just read today about their fish sandwich, how they are actually somewhat healthy.
But, dog food...
On the other thread I commented on what our doggies eat. Their food changed from 26 pounds originally, down to 22 and now it's down to 18 pounds per bag. Meanwhile, the price is staying the same.
It's Wellness Core Grain Free Ocean flavor. However, the Wellness brand dog food is made in the USA. My wife and I are very particular about making sure all the dog treats and food are made in either the USA or Canada.
The grain free in their food is for no particular reason. I can't say why, it just happened to be the food we bought way back when. Blizzard is 8 1/2 and it's all he's eaten. I call our dogs fat, but they are actually very healthy and the correct size for Australian Shepards. Both being about 65 pounds.
I'm not sure if the grain free is healthier or not.
But I'm curious about switching dog food. I know cats are very particular. You can slowly change the food they eat. Is it the same with dogs?
What do y'all feed your dogs?
Here is the excerpt from the other thread about McDonald's food prices:
We go through about 6 bags per month...

What are you feeding them? We feed our pack of German Shepherds Purina Pro Plan Performance 30/20 (protein/fat) salmon and rice, and it's @ $75 for 33 lbs.And don't even get me started on dog food. My wife and I discussed that in great depths last night.
Fatso's food went from 22 pounds for $75 to 18 pounds for $75. Him and Fatsolina together eat a little bit more than a bag (22lbs) a month.
