Reminds me of a pheasant hunting trip up in Kansas about a mile from the OK panhandle line six years ago. DEEP grass up there, and NOTHING else. Only trees are around the (very few) houses and cemetaries. Saw a dead bush sticking up out of the grass out of the corner of my eye and thought, that's funny--a dead bush--first one I've seen for miles!
Took one more step and a huge mulie buck like that one came flying out of the grass and jetted off across the prairie. What I was seeing out of the corner of my eye was his rack! Never forget that. Neat country, just a bit south of Liberal, KS.
