Hi everyone. I am looking to get a lightweight MKIII or 22/45 with a Pac-Lite upper. I am going to have it in the backcountry and shaving weight is desirable.
My local gun shop has a 22/45 with a 6" Pac-Lite already installed ($499). I am not crazy with the grip but could try the Hogue Hand-All to see if that works.
The alternative would be to buy a base model Standard ($299) then buy the Pac-Lite separately (~$260) and add Hogue grips made for the MKIII.
The 22/45 would be lighter, which is good, but not sure if the Hand-All will feel good when on. There are grind and add, or drill and Dominick aftermarket grips options but I am not keen on permanently altering the stock.
Which option do you think makes the most sense?
