Dear RUGER...

It sure would be nice if the Sturm Ruger Gun Gurus at your great company would consider creating a new semiautomatic striker fired handgun chambered in 5.7x28mm with a MSRP price tag at or below $1,000.00 USD !

The gun I speak of should look exactly like a German Luger, be ambidexterous and possess a 5" to 8" Bull Barrel (competition grade) in Stainless with handsome Walnut grips and a VTAC Sight System.

The gun (fully engraved) should come delivered with a Mitch Rosen Leather Holster (for fine dining wear) plus one Tactical Holster (for Range and Tactical Training Work) and three 15 round magazines..including a gift certificate for the first 100 break-in rounds of 5.7 ammo.

Sincerely,

Haz :::Sheep Dog:::

Hey Haz,

If you haven't sent your "Dear Ruger" letter to Ruger, you should consider sending your message to Mike Fifer, the Ruger CEO. Take a look at the Ruger website for the "Tell the CEO" link.

Good luck,

I assume you still believe in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. :)

Hey 22 / 45 Fan...

Haz is my nickname but I'm really Santa Claus !

I'm just another RUGER fan from the North Pole under an assumed name to see who is naughty n' nice !

And as far as the Tooth Fairy is concerned... She's petite & SUPER-HOT (with a whole lotta cash on hand too) !!!

How about a Ruger Hi Power? Great old pistol, with Ruger's engineering wizardy, a better weapon could be produced. I'd love to see it!

+1!! In SS, no mag safety, adj sights, I'd buy one!

Before I read your post I was thinking about a SS .260 XGI or a pistol caliber carbine that accepts the new SR series or the older P series mags with a simple mag well change. Are you listening Santa?

In that case, why not just get your elves to make exactly what you want and send the excess production to Ruger as your distributor? :D

I have said for a while that Ruger would be well served in producing a modern Luger. With the resurgence in popularity of the 1911, it seems like a reasonably priced Luger would sell like crazy.

Ruger should tweek the firearm slightly to put in an improved firing pin and other small changes that would improve the workings of the firearm, but maintain the external appearance. If Ruger could do this with an actual sales price of $550-$650 for a range of calibers from 9mm to 45ACP, they would have a real winner.

Hello Charlie

I like the idea of a Ruger Luger. Trouble is, I doubt all the Huns up and around Graf' don't share those same sentiments.

How about a Ruger Mark III beefed up to a 9mm, .40 S&W, and/or .45ACP?
4", 6", or 9" (with a detaching stock)

I'd prefer that over the Luger toggle link action.
