Surfing through old photos I found this rifle that belongs to a good friend.
A .375 H&H Magnum. One of the last of the old gunmakers in Germany made this rifle to my friend's specifications around 1972. The Mauser barreled action, the fancy walnut stock, gold & silver inlays, etc. Only been test fired. Its as beautiful as it looks.

Most of the famous custom gun builders lived in a small town in Germany. I can't remember the name.
When they realized what Hitler was doing they gathered up all the old Mauser actions and parts they had and buried them in their back yards. After the War they dug their stuff up and were back in business again. I look at their rifles today and still can't believe how talented those old craftsmen were.
