Strangely enough I am right eyed, left handed with a handgun, and for throwing edged weapons. However, I shoot longarms, bows, pool, and other longer items with my right hand.

I'm naturally cross-dominant (sight weapons with left eye and shoot right-handed). That doesn't work so well with some rifles. So about 30-35 years ago, I started experimenting - switching eyes, switching hands, one eye closed, both eyes open, etc. Got pretty versatile using both eyes and both hands. Still naturally left-eye, right-hand dominant with a strong natural preference/tendency to shoot that way, but I can switch it up at will.
Some shooting buddies tried it (just a time or two) and declared it "impossible." But a few saw it as a personal challenge and spent a couple afternoons trying stuff to figure it out with some success. Like anything new, it just takes some genuine interest and practice.

I'm right-handed but left-eye dominant. I shoot handguns right-handed but long guns left-handed. It is the only way that works for me.
