couple questions

Question 1) Bought a m77 tang safety last night for $18. Yep..didnt have enough ones to make it 20. Needs new barrel and floorplate/carrier assembly. Chambered in 270..thinking about new barrel to be '06 or 300 win mag. Are barrels difficult to locate?

Because of the BIG RUSH after some bbl companies are just consternating on A,R. bbl's right now so you may have to wait a while,but it's starting to ease up a bit now.If you look around I think you should be able to find a bbl with out too much trouble .

Good place to buy bbls is bugholes.com. They stock lots of good bbls in lots of different contours. I would come up with a Rem700 action though. Good reason you don't see many custom rifles utilizing Ruger 77 actions.
