I can't be the only one who likes to have a short (16 1/2") compact (11 1/2" lop) bull barreled rifle, am I ?

Where I hunt, a longer than 16 1/2" is just in the way and not needed. Especially now that suppressors are legal, having a compact rifle with a suppressor would seem to me to be more appealing.

The Ruger American looks nice and priced right but, take that 18" or 20" threaded barrel and make it a 16" threaded barrel and I wonder if they would sell more. I really like the 300BO but the desire has gone to the wayside and I have realized that the 357mag subsonic has a bunch more to offer and if I choose to use supersonic ammo, my 308 beats the 300BO.

Remington, Savage, Mossberg and a couple others offer compact bull barrels in centerfire and threaded, just wondering why Ruger hasn't.
