Buffalo Bore ammo

I tried a search and got an error message. Looking for 45 long colt Buff-Bore ammo in central northern Mass, the tri-corner VT,NH. area..Living in Mass means no shipping ammo from catalogs. Prefer not chasing to Cabela's in Conn or Bass Pro in the Eastern part. I don't drive so I have to con a ride to anywhere. Thanx. Mod. Please move to ammo section please. Senior moment Sorry

Jade, a lot of these companies only sell over the web; I don't know of any local dealers that stock Buffalo Bore ammo, or if they even sell into the wholesale distribution chain.

There are dealers that sell Buffalo Bore ammo.I don't know who in your area or how to find them.I know Cabelas shows it in their catalog.It should be in their stores.You won't find it in just any store that sells run of the mill ammo only.

It might be worth your while to call Buffalo Bore and ask them if there are any stocking dealers in your area.

There are several stores here in Anchorage that carries Buffalo Bore but once you get out of Anchorage it gets a lot tougher to find. Many people order it direct or I would call Tim Sundles and ask if there are any stores selling their product in your area. Sportsmans Warehouse (at least here) carries it also (recent addition) you might try that along with Cabelas or Bass Pro.

The box for my Freedom Arms .45 Colt revolver has a big red warning stamp on the end of the box saying, "NOT LEGAL FOR SALE IN MASS."

I figure any state that can outlaw a 5 shot single action revolver is severely mentally handicapped. It doesn't even meet the silly "scary looking" test, much less the hi-cap "it-must-be-an-assault-weapon" test.

I was born in MA so I'm allowed to hold their laws in utter contempt. Funny thing how I moved to NH as soon as I turned 18...

I saw BB ammo for sale in the local Sportsman's Wearhouse last weekend. If anybody lives near one I'll bet they can order what you want. It was cheaper than when I bought it directly from BB even when I included the local sales tax. BB direct shafts you on shipping which was almost $14 for 2-20 rd boxes :shock: My NAA .380 (that can eat anything I stuff in it) refused to work properly with BB's. I used the 100gr lead flat point and 90 gr JHP. The only fun I had was from the viscious recoil in that particular gun and wiping my blood off the trigger guard.

I'm sure it's quality ammo, but not sure it's worth the price. It should be fine in a revolver that can handle it if bought in the +P version. It was just too warm for my little NAA.

I'll just stick to reloading hot rounds...

I would definitely move if I were you. I was born in California, and moved to Utah when I was fairly young. I went back to CA for my job. When they passed their silly assault weapon ban, I quit my job and moved back to Utah. The ban was not the only reason, but I realized only after moving how much that state nickle and dimed me to death. I have no doubt that MA is exactly the same, if not worse.

Freedom is freedom. States that don't respect firearm freedom usually hold other types of personal property freedom in contempt as well.

Called Buff Bore and ammo is a lOT higher direct and shipping is half the price of the ammo 18 bucks. I'll just spend the money on dies and some decent Kieth style slugs and roll my own. For what they want for the ammo and shipping for ONE box I can get the Lee dies and load of bullets. I do 38/45acp/270/06 so I've got powder and primers. Oh well should have done it from day one. Thanx W2 I've got quite a few load manuals. IMR, Alliant and Hodgdens so I should be able to come up with a load that will take a bruin. Thinking of using one of the better lead flat nose slugs. Gonna be a first for me hopping up any load. I usually load very close to factory or low power for the grand-daughter to be able to shoot anything I've got for guns. She outshoots me and her Dad,,,,,,,,,,,,

Only need 1200fps.
