BLC (2) Question

Turns out that it looks like BLC (2) is suggested for loading 5.56/.223.

I have some that's pretty old (20+ years). It's in the square can with pink writing.

Last I checked, it passed the sniff test and still looked black shiny, and it worked OK in some .300 Savage I loaded up about 7 years or so ago.

Anything elso I need to look for?

Sniff test has always worked for me. I would save the can. I wished I would have saved some of the metal cone tops Winchester containers.
 
Almost all my stuff is 20+ years old! Powder lasts a heck-of-a long time if it is stored in a reasonable environment. And, BL-C(2) is an excellent powder for the .223. I also have to highly recommend W748 if you can find any of it. Gerry
