So...People magazine says he is the sexiest man alive. I had to look up his name on the net since I didn't even know who he was.

So...who the heck is People magazine to say he is the sexiest man alive? What gives them the authority to do that? How many different guys did they look at all over the world? What a bunch of crap !!!!!!!

He's a dope who maraudes as a "country" singer. Most modern country artists are junk as far as I'm concerned. Give me Merle, Hank, Waylon, and the Georges every day of the week.

A BIG AMEN to you Valmet............

J

A second amen along with a ditto. I have to rush in and out or wear ear plugs when I shop my two local farm stores, both of which play that modern trash. Seriously, I can't stand another song about a tractor, hay field, dancing girl or pick-up.

I question placing some of the country singers highly due to their obvious low life disregard for personal integrity and dignity. On the other hand, at least most of the singers from the 60's-70's-80's were properly dressed on stage.
George Strait gets my vote for probably the last C&W performer who meets my standard for dress and professionalism.

Blake Shelton’s music is actually pretty good, compared to the other choices these days. As far as music goes, his is at least able to be lisened to in the car with kids. There aren’t many cuss words, his music usually tells cute little stories.

I just like that my daughter can listen and sing along and I don’t have to worry about the content of what she is listening too.

I agree with Kevin Blake isn’t bad at all and yes you can understand what he is saying.

Wow. Why do you care? :?

Did you think you were in the running, or something?

Me too. I'm not a huge fan of his music--it's not awful, but it's by no means my favorite--but I find him enormously entertaining on The Voice.

Unlike almost everyone else on that show, he's a real voice of Real America. Maybe that's why he's so popular. There's so little of that on TV these days.

You don't seem to understand. I'm wondering just how many men did they look at to declare him the sexiest man alive? How many men are there on this planet?

There are approximately 7.6 billion people on the earth. If roughly half are men, that would be 3.8 billion. It must have taken them a long time to look at 3.8 billion men.

In my opinion, the sexiest man that ever lived was the old actor Cary Grant. I don't think anyone will ever beat his looks and style.

You may have guessed, my parents named me after him in 1947. Too bad I wasn't born with his looks.

He's not my type.

Carrie Fisher at her peak is closer to my liking. Carrie Underwood today is closer yet.

But, to each his (or her, or their, or its) own. Is this a great country, or what?

He's not my "type" as you put it either. I am not gay but this thread was about the sexiest man alive, not women. Thanks for insinuating that I'm gay. I guess we're back to not liking each other again.

Huh. I thought the thread was about Blake Shelton. :?

BTW, for those of you putting down Blake Shelton but who don't seem to know too much about him, he's a huge fan and respecter of old-school, traditional country music (even though he might not be famous for performing such himself). One of his contestants this season was picked specifically because he has that old-school, traditional sound. The fellow's name is Red something or other. You-tube a few of the fellow's performances and see what you think. I'd be interested to see how some of you old-timers like him.

Blake Shelton was named the sexiest man alive. I don't give a crap about him. My beef is with the stupid "no contest" contest.

Also I have nothing against Blake Shelton since I've never even heard one of his songs.
